This is such a beautiful time of year! We are in the joyful Easter season, Spring is in full bloom, and it's May, the month dedicated to our Blessed Mother, Mary.
As we honor our mothers on Mothers' Day, we look to our heavenly Mother and ask for her prayers and intercession with Jesus. We remember her words, "Do whatever he tells you" and "Be it done unto me according to your word". Mary always brings us closer to Jesus and her example helps us to live as God wants us to.
In Religion, the students are learning about the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and the Fruits of the Holy Spirit. They are also creating a beautiful project on "Mary, the Mother of God".
In Math, we are using a new series, "iReady Classroom Mathematics". This series is aligned with the i-Ready online program and the Next Generation Standards. We are currently learning about multiplication with fractions.
Students are reminded to check Google Classroom daily for all assignments and notifications of upcoming events and due dates.
Each month, the St. Agnes school community focuses on a different virtue.
The virtue for May is " Gentleness".
What better example of gentleness could we have than our beautiful Blessed Mother, Mary? Mary shows us that we can be both gentle and strong, quietly faithful and always trusting in God's will. "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman".
