8-2: Ms. Emma Gehrig (Ms. G)

Algebra I is an exciting step in your child’s mathematics journey and, for many students, their first high school-level math course and Regents exam. This year will be challenging, but students will have plenty of support along the way.

I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Molloy University in Mathematics Education and have experience teaching Algebra and preparing students for Regents-level mathematics. My goal is not just to teach students how to get the right answer, but to help them understand the math, strengthen their number sense, develop good study habits, and become more confident problem solvers.

Throughout the year, we will work hard, practice often, learn from our mistakes, and celebrate our progress. By June, I want students walking into the Algebra I Regents knowing they are prepared and walking out proud of how far they have come.
